QRlicious Giving Back

Posted on: July 23rd, 2012 by freeman 1 Comment

The events that unfolded on July 20th in Aurora shocked our community and personally affected our whole team in one way or another. Everyone on the QRlicious team is safe, thank goodness, and we want thank our clients and friends who reached out to insure everyone was ok. We’ve decided it’s our duty as part of this community to help the victims and their loved ones in any capacity that we can, which is why we’ve chosen to donate $25 dollars of each completely custom QR code over the next week to The Aurora Mental Health Center.

Every $25 donation will go directly towards helping children, adults, and families receive the professional services and care they need to continue learning, developing, and enjoying life. In some cases, we’ll be helping someone who cannot afford treatment, receive the care they desperately need in order to become a healthy, stable individual.

To reward and increase donors, we’re also giving everyone a 10% OFF coupon code “Colorado”, good on any completely custom QR code order.

Posted on: May 10th, 2012 by Matt 1 Comment

As promised last week, here is a sneak peak at our brand new mobile site creator, OMFGmobile.  We can’t give out too many details, a lot is still hush hush since it doesn’t launch till Monday May 14th, but we can give out enough details to keep your mouths salivating till then.

Key features:

  • Drag and drop capabilities.  Drag and drop content in your mobile site, like buttons, forms, text, just about everything.
  • Number of Templates to choose from.  Select any given style and layout that best suits you and your business.  You deserve a choice, there is no such thing as a one size fits all web design.  New templates to be added monthly.
  • Unlimited pages.  Unlike most mobile site builders who offer you a single page, or limit the number of pages, OMFGmobile allows you to create sites with unlimited pages standard with every site created.
  • Pricing.  A one time start up fee of $50, $5mo per site, unlimited pages, with a 30 day trial.  You save 50% with OMFGmobile compared to the competition.
  • Handcrafted custom QR codes.  No other mobile site creator offers handcrafted custom QR codes, and better yet, every custom QR code comes with the option of a mobile landing page, with out the startup fee!

Below you will see a screen shot taken awhile back during development.  You will notice the icons in the purple box at top, are all drag and drop capable, simply select the feature you want, and drag it in your site.  It will appear on the left for you to edit, and customize the content.  As I mentioned, this was taken during development, so icons and other design features have changed.  I am unable to snag a shot of what it looks like now, due to secrecy, but I think this does it justice.

Why Qrafter is the best QRcode scanning app for iphones and ipads

Posted on: May 4th, 2012 by Matt No Comments

Qrafter and Qrafter Pro 5.0 are now available on the App Store. With some design and functionality changes, as they reached another major version upgrade. Here is the list for changes:

  • New color scheme
  • Redesigned History screen with “swipe to reveal options”
  • Added search to History screen
  • Added the ability to give custom names to history items
  • Added the ability to delete multiple items/export multiple items on history screen
  • Added QR Code encryption option to generator screen
  • Added X-Scanner-UA HTTP header to internal web browser
  • Added QR Code size options for sharing QR Code images

In case you are not to familiar with Qrafter, it is one of the highest rated QR code scanning apps on the market.  Kerem Erkan http://keremerkan.net/ has done a wonderful job making Qrafter updated, and working properly constantly.  The design is very sleek, minimal, and easy to navigate.  On the pro version, you are able to generate QR codes, save, share, send and print your QR codes.  The settings feature is also customizable, you can select whether you want the app to scan on launch, plan sound, single or batch scan, scan and go, which allows you to navigate to urls instantly,  and access previous scanned codes.  One of the most notable features on the app, is the QR code color tool, you are able to edit colors of QR codes, with a notification when it probably will not scan.  Recently, the developer Kerem updated the vCard parser, so now they have a vCard parser that no other app has.  We look forward to what future updates the app may have, you can download the iphone, ipad app in the app store.
